53 years of Independence

I had a blast last night with some of the folks from "One Community". It was a little insane at first but in the end, they were a bunch of really friendly and fun individuals.

I felt a little lost at first due to language barriers but after talking to a few people and playing several games, everything made sense. We're not that different after all. Not that I completely abandon Mandarin. I can still speak and write a couple of words.

What I learn from that experience is that everyone plays a role. Everyone plays an important part in contributing, like ideas, games, participation and etc. It is the like mindedness of everyone that made that event a success.

However, the overall event wasn't quite as what I expected, perhaps I'm little bit too demanding but I still had fun. Thus, I'm grateful.

One thing I must comment though. The fireworks displayed on Ampang Look Out Point was as small as a size of a 50 cent coin. It's really disappointing and it really kill the romantic atmosphere. So guys, you'll know where to get next time.

Badminton Nightmare

It's so hard getting youngsters to play badminton. What else to they do besides clubbing? Maybe they need girls or good looking boys to motivate them. Let me see what I can do...

Anyway, for those who are interested, please join my group page:

New things are always hard at first sight

It's been a tough few weeks for me. It's quite difficult juggling between work and college assignment at the same time. Not to mention the changes that is happening in your life, such as getting new friends, loosing certain friends, having more free time or less and etc and etc.

Personally, I'm a not a fan of transition but I guess I should just make the best in my current situation. I'm starting to accept the fact that things doesn't always go your way.

Till then,
All the best.

Monday Blues or Red?

Another fruitful Monday (off day). I serviced my car, collected my car battery's warranty card, started my internship report without too much hassle, successfully sent my dad over to the workshop to collect his car and had lunch with my mom. And now I'm blogging to you from Starbucks - sipping latte while I brag to you. What a nice day.

Not only that, I also uploaded a badminton video (with me on it) to YouTube! You can get it on my Facebook Open Group Page (http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=143980142285259&ref=ts).

Here's a little picture of environment right now.

Porky dinner

Again I apologize for not jotting down the exact location but this pork experience is somewhere remote in the housing area of Mount Kiara. It's argubly one of the best places for pork and the best place to clot your arteries! So go easy on the meat!

Credits to Amber Kwan for bringing us there.

A pile of Pork Ribs (Roasted)

Roasted Chicken with Giant Chargrilled Bananas

And finally, the signature pork chop. The best dish so far.

Too bad for Muslim people though, this is one helluva porkie experience.

Eating Dim Sum at night

I'm not exactly clear on which part of Kuala Lumpur I'm in but I'm sure I saw Victoria International College nearby, so maybe you might want to look up on that. It is one of the place where you can get Dim Sum at night.

Credits to Yong Siang for bringing us there.

Variation of exotic Dim Sum with chrysanthemum tea. Not to mention the herbal chicken wrap (metal fold).

Monday Madness

The past few weeks was at Starbucks. But due to the malnutrition-typed cup noodles I had for lunch, I chose Old Town WhiteCoffee instead. I needed a dose of protein, high anti-oxidant WhiteCoffee and a little fat from the specialty toast.

I can't pass the guilt eating rubbish at home.

Something better than Cup Noodles.

And as you can see, I'm quite busy organizing and maintain my regular badminton groups for Saturday's and Sunday's. I was hoping maybe you can contribute to my efforts by playing with us, passionately. We are after all, friendly and nice people.

Badminton Frenzy

I've recently been craving for badminton and took the initiative to create a Facebook group to attract similarly minded people.

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=143980142285259&ref=ts

My first initial intention was to find a replacement for the Sunday game but it seem that our friend, yong siang, has recovered from his leg injury.

What I get instead, was a Saturday game with two determine and pretty female players. It was really nice to have to mix doubles instead of your regular men's double.

Hopefully the Saturday game will continue to stay and not stray away from relationships or non-commitment reasons.

I don't know what happened to me recently, I just love playing badminton and I have a strong urge to win every game with the best of my ability.

If you readers, have the same passion as me, I suggest you leave a message on my Facebook Group. We can always plan weekly badminton games and play somewhere convenient to you.

Timing would really depend you. We try our very best to accommodate your timing and your location.

A really hot Monday.

It has been five weeks since I left college and work as an intern. I can't help but to feel that life in college/university was much better.

Back then, we can skip classes, wear shorts and slippers to school, delay due dates, do silly things and get away with it.

Not to mention the social life we had back then.

We were practically allowed to waste money, make mistakes and fool around with all the pretty girls at school without a slightest worry of the future.

It was one honeymoon period for all of us.

But I guess, all good must come to an end. Now that we became full fledged adult, we have responsibility, job and a future to think of.

No one is going help us now.

Blogging at Kelana Jaya, Starbucks.

You know what, I really miss playing pool at asia cafe.

Till then.
